Asus is not the first company to cover a notebook in Gorilla Glass. Its keen competitor, Acer, has also done it with the Aspire S7, though that's Gorilla Glass 2. The latest version of Corning's material is supposed to be lighter, tougher and resistant to scratches and scuffs. The notebook's surface is extremely reflective. Other technical details of the product are scant, though based on what can be seen, it has the usual array of ports including USB 3.0, a mini-DisplayPort and an SD card slot. It should also sport the latest Haswell processors, which will be officially announced by Intel tomorrow. According to Asus, full details will be given later in the year and the notebook is expected to be available in Q3.
