I am grateful to the Verge for discovering that the famous porn star James Deen has already shot a movie with Google Glass. MiKandi has been very much driven by the idea of Google Glass. It created an app with a terribly tricky name that was swiftly removed. It made a glorious return, however, albeit with the porn rather absent. For the purposes of pure science, I watched the trailer -- which is allegedly safe enough for YouTube, but not safe enough for your future career. It involves X-ray vision, facial recognition technology, and talk of apps. It also involves mention of burritos. Both characters seem intent on wearing Google Glass throughout the movie, though there is quite a lot of squinting. Should you wish to read a techie-centric account from the set, Motherboard has graciously provided it -- as well as providing the Google Glass for this shoot. Deen told Motherboard that he did feel the glasses got in the way a touch -- you know, with the steaming-up and falling off and all that. Personally, I was riveted with the vast amount of extremely useful product placement in the trailer. I can see so many opportunities for cross-promotions that will make many, many eyes water.
