"Many, if not most, of our games include single-player, offline modes that you can play entirely without an Internet connection, if you so choose," Moore wrote on the blog. "We know that's something many of our players want, and we will continue to deliver it." Speaking at Gamescom last week, Moore said that EA "no longer makes 'offline' games." According to Moore, his comment was taken out of context after some believed that he meant all future EA titles would require gamers to have an online connection to play. Quite the contrary, Moore said, he was simply saying that his company's titles will feature online gameplay in one form or another. Moore's comments come after Microsoft was forced to retract its own plans for the Xbox One after gamers revolted against the idea of the Xbox One requiring a daily Xbox Live sign-on to continue playing titles offline. That requirement has been dropped.
