A purported marketing image of the smartphone, which is expected to be unveiled Wednesday morning in New York, was obtained and tweeted by evleaks Tuesday afternoon. The device's front sports a speaker grill and three capacitive buttons, while the back cover features a volume rocker arm situated beneath a rear-facing camera. The South Korean electronics giant has prepping for the G2's debut for more than a month, announcing weeks ago that the new smartphone would dispose of the Optimus branding for the new "G premium brand." The company is expected to unveil the device at at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT during an event at the Lincoln Center in New York.
