(Credit: Dragon Con) ATLANTA -- Over Labor Day weekend, Georgia hosted one of the premiere geek conventions known as Dragon Con, now in its 26th year. The event, stretched among five convention-size hotels in downtown Atlanta, brought in more than 50,000 people to celebrate every walk of geek culture, ranging from video games, comic books, anime, and other related subjects. There were countless discussion panels, costume play (cosplay), vendors, art, and so much more going on at the show that it nearly seemed impossible to see it all. In the following set of three galleries (with 67 total photos), you can get an up close and personal view of one of the most amazing cultural experiences this author has ever experienced. It's a magical four-day convention where you can walk around as superhero without freaking people out. You'll see everything from participants at incredible costume contests, Billy Dee Williams, a Sharknado, a giant Lego minifigure, geeks, nerds, anime lovers, and so many other walks of life.
