- 'Every interior designer will have a 3D printer' predicts the CEA as it dedicates a space to the technology at its Las Vegas show. He was in the UK with some of his organisation to ratchet up interest in the CEA's event that takes place in January in Las Vegas. The '3D printing tech zone' has sold out, said Shaprio, and will be joined by areas focussed on motion tech and robotics, among others. Shapiro predicted that 20,000 new products will be launched at the show from more than 3,200 exhibitors, with 150,000 attendees from over 150 countries. Two hackerthons will be held during the show, and for the first time there will be two keynotes: one from Intel CEO, Brian Krzanich and the other from Rupert Stadler, Chairman of Audi. The CEA tipped tablets, more sensors in products and mass customisation to be themes that feature heavily at the show. As usual, CNET will be covering the show in depth, with an exhaustive amount of video, news, pictures and hands-on coverage of the most important product announcements as they happen.
