At a press conference in San Francisco Wednesday, social professional network LinkedIn showed off a new version of its iPad app, a revamped Pulse app, and a new email integration called LinkedIn Intro.

LinkedIn Intro teams with your Apple mail app to pull in data from LinkedIn to your emails. You can view profile information and photos.

The iPad app has a completely overhauled design with new navigation. You can swipe to connect with new professional contacts. The app adds LinkedIn Influencer content, which shows you articles from top users.
