In contrast, Apple decided not to livestream the event at its iPhone launch in June but made the video available afterward for viewers with QuickTime 7 on Windows as well as Safari and Apple TV users. On Tuesday, the company showed off plenty of software, including a free OS X Mavericks, but the star of the show was the Apple's new iPad devices, which included iPad Air and a new iPad mini. The video stream of Tuesday's event requires Safari 4 or later on OS X v10.6 or later; Safari on iOS 4.2 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later.
