The company will unveil the HTC One Max in China on October 15, Engadget reported on Tuesday, citing reports out of the country. The technology blog also received an invite for a Hong Kong launch on October 16 and a Taiwan launch on October 18. Although HTC hasn't confirmed its existence, images of the handset have leaked several times and just yesterday, leaked information suggested the device would be coming to the US on Verizon's network and feature a fingerprint sensor. HTC has yet to say when the handset might launch in the US. Before the HTC One Max has a chance to hit store shelves, the company on Tuesday announced an 18-ct gold version of its HTC One smartphone. The device, known as the Gold HTC One, will be given to the winner of the "Best Newcomer" category at the company's MOBO Awards in Glasgow on October 19.
