iPad users can now download a tablet-friendly version of the Apple Store app.

Released on Wednesday, Apple Store for iPad delivers a full-screen experience for people who want to go Apple picking via their tablet. You can now see high-resolution images of iPhones, iPads, Macs, and other Apple products. Beyond filling out the entire screen, the app lets you tap, swipe, and pinch to browse and buy Apple products.

A menu at the top displays the various product categories. The menu quickly disappears as you shop the virtual aisles, but you can easily retrieve it by swiping down from the top. As with the iPhone app, you can search for specific items, add products to your shopping cart, and pay for them at checkout. You can then opt to have the item shipped or pick it up at your local Apple retail outlet.

You can also track down your nearest Apple Store to find workshops and events and make an appointment for tech support with the Genius Bar.
