That leaves 18 percent for iOS 6 and 4 percent for earlier versions. The stats were measured by the App Store during the seven-day period ending December 29. The new numbers show continuing growth for iOS 7. At Apple's iPad event on October 11, CEO Tim Cook said that iOS 7 was installed on 64 percent of all iOS devices. And earlier in December, Apple's App Store data revealed a 74 percent adoption rate. The number would likely be higher if iOS 7 actually supported all Apple devices. But the latest version is persona non grata on iPhones prior to the iPhone 4, iPods before the fifth-generation iPod Touch, and the original iPad.
