No one's ever happy in a shack. Shaq wasn't named after Radio Shack. Now, some would say at least 10 years too late, Radio Shack wants to address its image problem. An amusing Super Bowl ad begins with a Radio Shack employee taking a call. He tells his sidekick: "The '80s called. They want their store back." What follows is a thing of beauty. Apparently, it's time for a new Radio Shack. Some would say it's time for no Radio Shack at all, but they are acidic pessimists who don't watch enough '80s TV. "Come see what's possible when we do things together," teases the voiceover. This sounds very much like a spouse who, after you've demanded a divorce, remarried twice, had another four children, suddenly calls you and says: "Can't we work this out together?" Still, America loves a comeback.
