We've seen the first ads for the long-awaited Moto X from the new, Google-flavored Motorola, and now LG has tipped its hat to show that it plans to reveal the successor to the Optimus G next month in New York. There's no visuals and scant details on the phone itself in the promotional video below, which comes a few weeks after formal invitations started to be sent out for an August 7th event. Both include not-so-subtle hints that we can expect to be introduced to a G2 then. This is in line with what we've heard previously about a new LG Optimus flagship arriving in stores in the fall with a 1080p display of no less than 5 inches.
