The update features tighter integration with other Google apps, allowing users to automatically sign in to other Google services after signing in to Chrome. Users also now have the option of setting preferences to open links within Google apps such as Google Maps, Google+, and YouTube instead of in the browser. The update also allows users to access their browsing history from browser menu as well as full-screen browsing for iPad users. Google also said it expects to roll out in the next couple of days an experimental data compression service that the Web giant promises will save users bandwidth and load pagers faster, all while making browsing more secure. The new version, which is available now for download at the App Store, will be rolled out to users over the next couple of days. Google Maps 2.0, which began rolling out to iOS device users worldwide on Tuesday, also features support for the iPad's larger touch screen, as well as enhanced navigational features, live traffic updates and incident reports, and indoor navigation.
