Electronic Arts and Humble Bundle achieve nearly $9 million in sales by offering gamers a chance to own 10 hot PC games for whatever they wish to pay -- all revenue goes to six select charities. Electronic Arts' Humble Bundle just got even sweeter with the addition of two extra games. In case you missed it, Electronic Arts has been offering a collection of 8 great computer video games for a little over $5 (or more, if you're feeling generous), with all proceeds going to charity. Now the number of games is up to 10. First, here's an update on contributions to the EA Humble Bundle. Some 1.8 million gamers have flooded the temporary Web site with more than $8.7 million in donations, which is a stunning achievement since it launched on August 14. For a $1 contribution, donors get the following collection of games: Dead Space; Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box; Crysis 2 Maximum Edition; Mirror's Edge; Dead Space 3; and Medal of Honor. If you contribute more than the moving donation average, which currently stands at $4.86, a second subset of games comes with the original 6, including: Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 Starter Pack, as well as new additions Populous and Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising. We're talking hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of replay value when considering the 10 games in this package. Proceeds benefit the Human Rights Campaign, Watsi, San Francisco Aids Foundation, American Red Cross, GamesAid, and/or the American Cancer Society. You might want to act fast, though, because the Humble Origin Bundle ends August 28. Game on!
