His most recent piece is one that is very dear to our hearts: the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda. Crafting the blade looks pretty straightforward, but the hilt is a little trickier. It was too bulky for Swatton to make himself, so he brought in a friend to sand-cast it from bronze. The finished sword, Swatton declares, is a success with "phenomenal" balance, looking the part while being totally functional. Who'd'a guessed Nintendo had some kickass sword designers on the team?
