The here-and-there rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 could prove to be not only massive in size, but blazingly powerful as well.

According to benchmarking specialist AnTuTu, the plus-sized slate could boast an impressive set of hardware specifications, including a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB RAM.

The Galaxy Note 12.2 will also reportedly run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and house a pair of cameras -- 8-megapixel at the rear and 2-megapixels up front. The tablet should boast at least 32GB internal storage.

Measuring in at 12.2-inches, much will be expected of the screen resolution; benchmarks call for 1600x2560 pixels. Considering the size of the tablet, we should expect a pixel density as sharp as the top 10-inch models, if not more so.

It's not clear when we might see the Galaxy Note 12.2 make its debut, especially since it just started selling 2014's edition of the Galaxy Note 10.1.

However, Samsung is a fan of releasing tablets and phones of multiple sizes, so a number of potential launch venues spring to mind. As is the case with every new year, the first few months of 2014 will give way to CES and Mobile World Congress. Then again, Samsung could host its own Unpacked event or simply shoot out a press release.
