Following the lead of Facebook, Google readies its users' reviews, +1's, and other endorsements for broader use in its display ads with an update to its Terms of Service.

The update, according to Google's own summary, makes three changes. It clarifies how your profile name and photo might appear in "Google products," and reminds its customers that they can opt out of appearing in Google ads from its Shared Endorsements settings.

It's not immediately apparent how this differs from how Google already integrates user endorsements into its ads. Google did not immediately return a request for comment on the update. CNET will update the story when we hear back from them.

Google also reminded its customers to not use its services while driving; and to not give out their passwords.

More to come.
