On Friday, it released an updated version of the C720, back at $199.99. It will be in the Acer store in December, according to Acer representatives. The laptop comes with Google Play Music All Access and 12 free Gogo Inflight passes, good within the US only. Its 8.5 hours of battery life remain unchanged from last month's original C720 model, thanks to its Celeron-branded, Haswell-variant chip. Other features in the C720-2848 include 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, dual speakers, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, and HDMI port, and a high-definition Web cam. The price change matches the C720 to its predecessor, which also retailed for $199.99. But there are no other hardware changes. For low-end Chromebooks, $250 may be just too much.
