November 15, 2013 2:50 PM PST (Credit: Subaru) Hot on the tail of its announcement of the production Subaru Impreza WRX, the automaker has released shots of the 2015 Subaru Legacy Concept, which will debut alongside the 'Rex at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. According to the automaker, this concept celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Subaru Legacy and provides a look at the styling cues for future Legacy models. Taking a look at the released images, the future of the Legacy looks a lot like a toned-down variant of the Subaru WRX concept that bowed in New York earlier this year. Subaru previews 2015 Legacy Concept for LA Auto Show (pictures) 1-2 of 5 Scroll Left Scroll Right Like the WRX, the Legacy concept is a sedan that features a more coupe-like silhouette, tucking its second set of doors into the Flared wheel arches and, when viewed from certain angles, hiding them altogether. interpretation of the Legacy and features a more distinguished front design with a new hexagonal grille and a sharper hawk-eye headlamp design. The front end's design is echoed at the rear, where the rear lights feature a similar design to the headlamps and sit above a pair of rectangular exhaust tips that are integrated and deeply recessed into the rear bumper. Concept car 21-inch wheels probably won't make it to production when the next Legacy is introduced next year -- if the "2015" in the name is any hint -- but the standard Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive drivetrain most certainly will. While I'm more excited about the prospect of driving a new WRX as early as next year, the Legacy Concept is gorgeous and I'm equally excited about checking it out in-the-round at the 2013 LA auto show next week.
