Amazon will expand its AmazonFresh grocery delivery service to the San Francisco area next week, All Things D reported Thursday.

Previous media reports already tagged San Francisco as the service's next stop, but an unnamed source told All Things D that AmazonFresh will officially launch this coming Tuesday.

We've contacted Amazon and will update this story if they respond.

AmazonFresh lets customers order fresh groceries online. It then deliveries the goods to their doorsteps on the same day or the next day.

If the service does launch next week it could be an indication that Amazon is finally ramping up the rollout of AmazonFresh. The online retail has been cautiously growing this part of its business. It's makes sense, given that the online grocery business is a tough nut to crack. Amazon piloted this service in Seattle for several years before finally expanding to the Los Angles area in June.
