Despite owning a time machine, Lloyd who was in character as Doctor Emmett Brown was 15 minutes late to the event. The car he pulled up in was an authentic recreation of the vehicle fromn the movie--complete with flux capacitor and eco-friendly "Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor"--and as emerged he was surrounded by puffs of smoke and enthusiastic camera-people. Doc Brown appears in his Delorean at CES 2014 1-2 of 14 Scroll Left Scroll Right After posing for photos and even wearing a pair of futuristic Google Glass, Lloyd held court on the Gibson main stage to celebrate the many different instruments the company has produced over the years. Lloyd was happy to improvise and was easily distracted from the scripted conversation: pointing to a man standing on stage in period costume posing with an 1894 Gibson--referred to as the "world's most expensive guitar stand"--LLoyd said: "He just keeps standing there, it's weird!" Lloyd, amongst the many "Great Scott's", did tell the crowd that he had appeared as a guest on The Michael J Fox Show. The episode is due to air in the Spring. Unfortunately, Lloyd left the venue on foot, and didn't fly the DeLorean into the clouds. However, we have exactly one year to invent flying cars, according to the movie. A possible entrant for CES 2015 perhaps?
