Netflix said Wednesday that the first eight episodes of the final season of "Breaking Bad" will be available to stream in the U.S. Friday. The last eight episodes of the show, which follows a high-school chemistry teacher turned meth druglord, are set to begin airing on Aug. 11 on cable network AMC. Earlier this month, Netflix arranged for its streaming users in the U.K. and Ireland Netflix said Friday to access the latest "Breaking Bad" episode a day after it airs in the U.S. Wednesday, a Netflix spokesman couldn't provide details about availability of the final eight episodes for U.S. customers.
